On June 17 MATGAS celebrated their Summer team-building activity with a day of waking and various activities in the woods of the region of Sabadell, 15 km away from MATGAS.

vega_phd_delftOn April 27, 2011 Lourdes Vega, director of MATGAS, took part as a committee member in the PhD defense of Xiaohua Tang at Delft University of Technology, Faculty of Mechanical, Maritime and Materials Engineering.
Dr Tang's thesis was entitled “Thermodynamic Properties of acid gases in mixture with natural gas and water”.

On February 4, 2011 MATGAS hosted its first Alumni Meeting. During the 2010 academic year MATGAS hosted over 25 students from several universities who realized their stays in our center through different programs (Master thesis, final thesis, summer internships, etc).
The main goal of the event was to gather the students, their project advisors and the university professors involved in the student programs in a relaxed athmophere and to exchange views and thoughts about their experience at MATGAS.
