Research interests:

Application of Molecular modeling techniques to industrial relevant problems. Results obtained from the theoretical approach are compared with experimental data (if available) and molecular simulations, aiming at improved models for quantitative predictions. The main applications are focused in the optimization of energetic processes, enhanced oil recovery, carbon capture sequestration and research of new environmental friendly solvents for extraction and separation processes. In particular, we apply the previous techniques for the description and optimization of separation and extraction in CO2 processes and to aqueous systems through computational techniques.

Awards:

IACT Junior Award 2008 (International Association of Chemical Thermodynamics).

2009 Research Excellence Award (£150000), given for high academic achievements to a research team at Imperial College London.
