Meeting
SAFT2011 discussion meeting
A discussion meeting in Pau, France, on statistical associating fluid theory and its use in modelling complex fluids.
Statistical associating fluid theory, usually shortened to SAFT, is a family of equations of state used to model fluids with complex interactions. It is particularly useful for mixtures, associating fluids and conditions where simple models fail.
The discussion meeting in Pau brought researchers together to compare results and debate the direction of the method. The centre's modelling work has used and extended this approach for systems including ionic liquids and supercritical fluids.
The event is recorded here as part of the centre's engagement with the modelling community.
