Computational Modelling
Calculation infrastructure for molecular simulation, property prediction and process modelling.
Open laboratoryMATGAS Review / Field notes 2026
Materials and gases, studied together. An independent centre for CO2, energy and clean processes.
Laboratories
The laboratories support modelling, synthesis, characterisation, food studies, supercritical processing and scale up. Projects often move between several spaces as a question develops.
The facilities
A research centre needs more than equipment. It needs a sequence in which a model, a sample, a measurement and a process can be compared. The centre's laboratories are arranged to support that sequence, with shared analytical capacity and a pilot area for work that has outgrown the bench.
Each laboratory has a defined technical role and a technical lead. Some projects use a single space; others move from computational screening to synthesis, then to characterisation and finally to a pilot trial. The laboratory pages describe what each space is for and the methods it supports.
Laboratory index
Each page describes the purpose of the laboratory, the methods it supports and the research lines it serves.
