Careers
Work on questions that leave the laboratory.
The centre employs researchers, laboratory coordinators and support staff through funded projects. Openings are announced when a project is ready to recruit.
Current openings
There are no open positions listed at this time. This page is kept for future vacancies and for information about how the centre recruits.
How recruitment works
Most positions are linked to a specific project with a defined duration, funder and technical scope. A call will normally state the research line, the laboratory or laboratories involved, the expected start date and the profile sought. Shortlisted candidates are invited to discuss the project with the technical lead before a decision is made.
The centre values people who can work across methods. A chemist who can interpret a process model, or an engineer who is comfortable with molecular data, is particularly well placed in a centre of this size.
Speculative applications
If you would like to be considered for future work, send a short statement of interest and a curriculum vitae to the general address. Please mention the research line or laboratory that matches your background. We keep expressions of interest on file for a reasonable period, but we cannot guarantee a reply to every message.
Doctoral and postdoctoral work
Doctoral researchers are usually enrolled through the UAB or another partner university, while postdoctoral positions are funded by projects or fellowship schemes. If you are preparing a fellowship application and would like to discuss a host arrangement, contact the centre early enough to allow time for the proposal.
