SOST CO2 consortium meets for its eighth general meeting
The SOST CO2 consortium held its eighth general meeting, bringing together the companies and research centres working on new industrial uses of CO2.
SOST CO2 was a CENIT project on new industrial uses of CO2 with sustainability in view. It was led by Carburos Metálicos of the Air Products group and brought together 14 companies and 29 research centres between 2008 and 2011, with a budget of 26.3 million euros.
General meetings gave the consortium a chance to compare results across work packages and to discuss how laboratory findings might be taken forward by industrial partners. For a project of this size, that coordination was as important as any single experiment.
MATGAS contributed research on materials, separation and the assessment of new processes. The project is recorded on the national projects page together with BIOSOS and CIUDEN.
