Hydrogen fuelling at the World Hydrogen Energy Conference
Air Products supplied hydrogen for the ride and drive events at the 2012 World Hydrogen Energy Conference, an example of the industrial context for the centre's hydrogen work.
Hydrogen demonstrations depend on infrastructure as much as on vehicles. A fuelling station has to deliver gas at the required purity and pressure, safely and repeatedly, in a setting where visitors may be seeing the technology for the first time.
Air Products, the parent group of founding partner Carburos Metálicos, provided the hydrogen for the conference's ride and drive activities. The note is kept as partner news because it shows the industrial setting in which the centre's hydrogen research sits.
The centre's own hydrogen work has included participation in European projects on transport, fuel cells and safety. Those projects are described on the European projects page.
