HyTEC project featured on Euronews
A Euronews programme featured the HyTEC project, including the hydrogen fuelling station and taxi operation supported by Air Products.
HyTEC was a European project on hydrogen transport in cities. It brought together London and Copenhagen, two cities that had decided to adopt hydrogen technology early, in a partnership intended to share experience across countries.
The television feature showed the fuelling station and the taxi fleet in operation. It also raised the question of standards: hydrogen vehicles need consistent rules for refuelling, storage and maintenance before they can be adopted at scale. The project coordinator noted that work of this kind helps to address those questions.
The centre's role in HyTEC is recorded on the European projects page. The project is part of a wider body of work on hydrogen safety, transport and fuel cells.
