MATGAS takes part in the SOFCOM meeting
The centre took part in a SOFCOM project meeting, contributing to the consortium's work on fuel cell based combined cooling, heat and power systems.
SOFCOM was an FP7 project on solid oxide fuel cell systems. The consortium studied combined cooling, heat and power plants fed by different biogenous fuels, with a CO2 separation step for the anode exhaust gases.
Project meetings allowed partners to compare experimental results, discuss integration questions and agree the next set of tests. MATGAS contributed to the scientific and technical work, including the treatment of CO2 within the system.
The project ran from 2011 to 2014 and is described in more detail on the European projects page.
