Phase behaviour of hydrofluorocarbon mixtures
Measured and modelled phase behaviour, interfacial tension and heat capacity for these fluids and their blends, including conditions near the critical point.
Hydrofluorocarbons are used as refrigerants and in other applications where a fluid has to change phase under controlled conditions. Mixtures add another layer of complexity because the composition of each phase changes with temperature and pressure.
The paper reports measured and modelled phase behaviour, interfacial tension and heat capacity for these fluids and their blends, including conditions near the critical point. The combination of properties is what a process designer needs to evaluate a working fluid.
