Renormalisation group treatment for SAFT VR
Applying a renormalisation group correction to a variable range SAFT model to improve its description of fluid behaviour.
Molecular models often work well away from a critical point but struggle close to it, where fluctuations become important. A renormalisation group treatment is a way to correct for those fluctuations without abandoning the molecular basis of the model.
The study applies such a treatment to a SAFT model with potentials of variable range. The aim is a model that remains physically grounded while giving a better description of phase behaviour near the critical region.
