National Award for public private research

The award was created to acknowledge research carried out through cooperation between public and private organisations. It is supported by the Government of Catalonia and covers the general scope of research and innovation activity in Catalonia.

The recognition is significant for a centre whose founding partners include an industrial gases company, a national research council and a public university. That mix is not only a governance arrangement; it determines how projects are chosen and how results are tested against practical requirements.

The centre's award record also includes the 2014 Catalan National Research Award in the same public private partnership category, collected in 2015.
