Welcome to MATGAS, Marta Llorca

Marta Llorca joined the centre as a research assistant, bringing experience in industrial engineering and project coordination to a European hydrogen safety project.

Marta Llorca studied industrial engineering at the Institut Químic de Sarrià and completed a master's in coaching at the International Coaching University. During her studies she took internships in several organisations, including a year in Italy working on plastic products made from recycled polypropylene and polyethylene.

After graduating she worked as project coordinator on a Norwegian fish industry project involving radio frequency identification. In July 2013 she joined MATGAS as a research assistant.

Her first project at the centre was a European research project on hydrogen safety. The role combined technical work with coordination, which matched the mix of experience she brought.
