Research review / 2026

Materials and gases, studied together. An independent centre for CO2, energy and clean processes.

Welcome series

New people, new questions.

The welcome series introduces researchers who have joined the centre and the projects they are working on. It is a record of how the team has changed over time.

A centre that grows through its people

MATGAS is a small organisation, so a new researcher can change what the centre is able to do. The welcome series was created to mark those arrivals and to explain the technical background they bring.

Many arrivals come through funded projects. A new post may be linked to a specific consortium, a laboratory method or an industrial partnership. The notes therefore double as a record of how the research programme has developed.
